the President

2024

In the midst of all the events that color our daily lives, uncompromising volunteers are keeping their course to organize and propose this 37th Vébron International Film Festival.

So many changes, upheavals, evolutions, societal transformations, climate or other, and we are still here. The forty volunteers present in the village, including the 9 who selected the films and the 11 who, throughout the year, organized this cultural event Cevennes Lozérien now essential.

This year, again, directors and producers responded in large numbers to our call for films. For six months, 300 short films from 42 countries were seen, or 396 hours of viewing for the pre-selection committee; 35 will compete during this event.

I will not dwell on the program of this 37th edition that I let you discover through the pages, but I can already tell you that there will be beautiful films, beautiful meetings, very good moments and great memories to create in our so pleasant town of the Tarnon valley at the foot of the Causse Méjean.

You will be nearly 4,000 to cross and intersect from Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 July this year 2024.

A big thank you to the Mayor of Vébron and all institutional and private partners, as well as to all volunteers and people in the shadows who work and have worked. Thank you so much!
